Event Detail

On Wednesday, September 22, we will gather together to learn about The Power of Your Personal Brand at Waterfront Botanical Gardens in Louisville.  We are delighted to welcome Gathan Borden, Vice President of Marketing for VisitLex as our speaker. In this role, he oversees the advertising, branding, marketing, public relations, social media, visitor services and web strategies for the city of Lexington as it relates to travel and tourism.

During the past year, dealing with the pandemic, societal unrest and unprecedented unemployment levels for the hospitality and tourism industry, we all were forced to take a step back and evaluate our careers and our lives. For some people, it led to more community and industry involvement or career changes, and for others, it led to redefining themselves and setting new goals. No matter what path we’ve chosen, our personal brand serves as our compass to how we approach changes in our personal and professional lives. In this session, we’ll talk about our personal brands and how to build or re-build them, and then discuss how we can use social media and other digital platforms to reinforce our personal brands.

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn the power of your visible brand.

2. Discover essentials and steps to build your personal brand.

3. Learn what steps to avoid when building your brand.
