“Behind the Scenes … A Hands-on Educational Experience”

Join us for a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes to better understand the amount of time, critical thinking and hard work that goes into building an event.

In a hands-on workshop with the Millennium Events team in their warehouse, participants will learn about linen installation, key points in building floral arrangements, how to determine where additional lighting is needed, the labor it takes to install pipe and drape, and other areas of event design.  During the workshop meeting planners will gain a better understanding of the time and labor it takes to build an event, so they can more accurately develop event budgets and better manage the event timeline.  For hotel and venue professionals, this behind the scenes workshop will add new insight into event design so they can better understand and serve meeting planners needs when contracting their event space.

Following the workshop, participants will gather for a panel discussion where industry experts will share their knowledge and participants will have an opportunity to expand on what they learned in the workshop by asking the panel questions.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a better understanding of the time and costs associated with the setup, operation and takedown of your event design
  • Identify questions to ask and the site specifications to consider that may impact your event design selections
  • Learn skills that will help you become a better partner to your event design and production partners
  • Understand the ripple effect last minute and show floor changes have on your event partners
