Events that engage all five senses can be more memorable and captivating.  Join Meeting Professionals International Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter on November 15th at  21c Museum Hotel Lexington.  21c is an 88-room boutique hotel, contemporary art museum, cultural center and home to Lockbox restaurant.

We will learn from industry experts on how engaging sight, sound, smell, taste and touch creates an experience that connects with participants and inspires them to use the information they've gathered.

Learner Objectives:
1. Understand the role of the 5 senses and how the impactive the success of meetings and events.
2. Gain insight into strategic planning and use of timing, placement, agenda format, meeting and event enhancers, production and design components.
3. Participant in sensory exercises to awaken you to the importance of experiences.

Speakers:

Brian Walters Director of Food and Beverage at 21c Lexington  
Accomplished hospitality expert with over 20 years of experience in enhancing performance through effective brand consistency and operational strategies. A leader focused on streamlining business processes, integrating financial plans, and promoting training and development. Committed to collaboration across teams to achieve common objectives, with a leadership approach that prioritizes active engagement and open, empathetic communication.

Katharine Erickson, Museum Manager at 21c Lexington
Katharine has a background in Art History and Museum Education. She has worked previously on educational public programs at the National Gallery of Art, Washington National Cathedral, LACMA and the Getty Museum.

Jason Thompson Director of Sales and Marketing at 21c Lexington
Experienced Director of Sales and former Director of Catering with a results driven history of working in the hospitality industry. Skilled in Building and Maintaining Client Relationships, Sales, Delphi, Event Temple, Customer Relationship Management, Event Management, Teamwork. Strong operations and sales professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, with Emphasis in Event and Conference Management from the University of Kentucky.

Registration

  • Your username is the email address we have on file for you. 
  • Passwords were not transferrable to the new software, so you will have to create a new one if you have not already done so. 
  • Click the "Member Center Sign In" link under the top banner. Do this BEFORE you click the REGISTER button. This will take you to the Member Center.
  • Click the “reset password” link and watch for an email with details on how to change it. If it doesn’t arrive, contact the KBC office.
  • Once you receive the password reset email, login as instructed. You will see your name in the Welcome window under the top banner if you are logged in successfully. 
  • As with the old system, you must login to the software in order to access member pricing. If you don’t login, you will only be able to access non-member fees.
  • Be sure to login as a member above BEFORE hitting the Register Now button. 
  • When completing your transaction, you have two options for payment: credit card check. If paying by credit card, the system will generate a receipt. Check your spam/junk folder as the message could end up there. If paying by check, select the check option and the system will generate an invoice.
